Product Description Lag-free head-to-head or Internet gaming, without stringing wires! The Wireless-B Game Adapter gives any wired-Ethernet-equipped game console wireless connection capabilities. The Game Adapter can be used in two different ways. If you have an existing home wireless network with a cable or DSL Internet connection, the Game Adapter lets your PlayStation 2, Xbox or GameCube attach to the network so you can get into online games without running wires to the game room. Or, use a pair of Game Adapters to form a "cable-less cable" between two game consoles for head-to-head gaming - in the same room, or all the way across the house. It's completely driver-free, so there's no software-installation hassle, and it works on any platform. And the innovative Channel Selector Button with LED display makes wireless network configuration into child's play. If you're using two Game Adapters, just press their Channel Selector Buttons until the channel numbers match, and you're connected. To connect to an existing wireless network, press the Button to select Infrastructure mode. If your setup's a little different, there's an easy-to-use PC-based Setup Wizard to guide you through. Then just plug the Adapter into your game box, and go. The Wireless-B Gaming Adapter provides lag-free gaming with communication speeds up to 11Mbps. So spend your time gaming, not stringing wires, with the Linksys Wireless-B Gaming Adapter.

Old Tech September 20, 2008 The device is good if you only need 802.11B speeds (which is enough for internet play.) The issue that I overlooked was what encryption it supported. The WGA11B does not support WPA, no firmware update that I could find on linksys either, so I am left with a pretty decent device that I won't utilize on my network. I have none to blame but myself, however, as I was hasty and didn't pull up the full specs.
Works great with a 20GB Playstation 3 May 24, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Bought this for my 20GB Playstation 3 and it worked as soon as i plugged it in. I have an Airlink 101 router and a Touchstone modem which i thought may cause compatability issues but it works 100%. I definetly recommend it to anyone looking to make their PS3 wireless.
BUY THIS NOT THE MICROSOFT XBOX 360 WIRELESS ADAPTER February 13, 2008 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This is a steal, it is less than half the price the Microsoft adapter and works just as well. BUY THIS! I live in the basement in the back left corner of the house, and my router is on the 3rd floor in the front corner and it works fine, i occasionaly have a problem but it can easily be fixed.
linksys is all i use January 29, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful

all you need for wireless xbox December 21, 2007 4 out of 6 found this review helpful
i've used this thing for almomst 4 years with my xbox and xbox 360. no problems whatsoever.
you don't need wireless-g or -n for gaming. your max upload speed with cable or dsl is likely less that 1 mb/s, or roughly 10% of wireless-b. everything else is overkill (and overpriced).
