I received the cable with both ends attached. It does work.
Parts Express got it out to me faster than I ever imagined.
This component is best used for networking.

The cable is pretty good. It does its job. I mean its a cable, highly unlikely that it would malfunction. 4 stars (not 5) because of its ugly red color.
