Amazon.com Product Description With a true-to-life cockpit design, the red Playseats classic gaming seat puts you smack dab in the middle of your favorite racing game. The seat works with most racing titles and game systems, including the Xbox 360, GameCube, PlayStation, PlayStation2, and PCs. More importantly, the chair is notably comfortable while delivering the most realistic racing simulation around. Just install a game steering wheel on the middle pole and attach a couple of pedals along the bottom (all sold separately). The setup is easily adaptable, with three adjustment knobs letting you move the wheel and pedals closer or farther, depending on your height. And thanks to the high-quality steel construction, you needn't worry about the gaming seat falling apart after just a few short months. Appropriate for ages 8 and older, the seat is the perfect accessory for gamers who want to boost their lap times in style.

flimsy make November 6, 2008 its ok, but not good enough for the money I paid for. It start breaking apart from the welded joints, buy this one of they giving a welding machine free with this. not recommended at all!!! unless you ready to lose your money within couple of months.... get something reliable!
Playseat for Driving Force GT September 7, 2008 Great seat for my Driving Force GT to play GT Prologue ... and also a nice seat for my kid while watching TV. The set up gives a good adjustment for length and height. The only star left for a perfect 5 is if an improvement can be devised to keep the swinging steering frame stable.
Good Playseat June 21, 2008 I got this playseat classic in blue on sale last week for about $140. I was really excited when the price came down because I've been eyeing one and didn't want to spend $250 on it. I also bought the G25 racing wheel to go with it. It was after ordering it that I found out that the G25 wheel doesn't fit the playseat classic. This seat was made to fit the Logitech Driving Force GT perfectly. So if you have a PS3 and don't want to spend a lot of money on the G2, I would recommend the Driving Force GT. I wanted to keep the G25 so after googling I found several people that made it work so I was excited to try out some modifications. From the other reviewer on here they had said they used a 1x12 board so that's where I started. Using the provided velcro and some handy work I was able to mount the G25 pedal assembly. I connected the wood to the pedals using 5/16 x 1 1/2 inch screws. I then attached the whole thing to the metal plate of the playseat using 4 strips of velcro. I have added some pics of my handy work to the gallery (please enjoy). The one thing that I was excited about was the gearshift assembly mount, because that cost $50 if you were to order one. I made that from some shelving bracket and left over wood for about $2. The review of the playseat over all is average. The seat itself is of good quality, but the frame is a little weak as many of the other reviewers had already said. The frame is flimsy but it's not overly flimsy that it's unusable. I think it's passable for the price you pay. The only really flimsy part is the single steering collumn where the body is attached to the steering wheel. Also the part where the metal rod attaches to the seat is also flimsy. If you want a more stable gaming seat I would consider getting the Playseat Evolution. The price is about $300 so you have to consider if you are willing to spend that much or not. Over all it works and I'm happy with it. It was worth the money I spent on it. My son and I are having a blast playing Dirt, Ridge Racer, Nascar 09 and Burnout Paradise on my PS3.
nice racing seat June 20, 2008 This seat Deffinitly gave me a boost on my racing performance, would of gave it a 5 but it wobles a bit, the center of it should have a support bar for stability even if they sold an after market support beam for it, be nice, be nice to it and it wont fail
Works fine June 9, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I own a PS3 and the new Logitech GT wheel and the classic does a fine job. If you're hard-core and use the Logitech G25, you may want to spend extra for the Evolution but for console gamers, this should work just fine. It's not rock steady but that has not impacted my driving enjoyment.
