Product Description Delivering high-definition video and improved color over S-Video, Blue Series Component Video Cables provide freedom from interference and delivers brighter, more accurate colors along with sharper detail from component devices. This component Video is the ideal solution for HDTV and progressive-scan DVD players. The 3 cables are separated through color into primary components to transmit three distinct signals. This provides brighter, more accurate colors and sharper detail, exceeding the performance of Composite and S-Video. Maximum isolation from electromagnetic and radio frequency interference with double-shielded construction Signal isolation from noise with 100%-coverage aluminum & Mylar foil shield A second layer of protection with tinned, copper-braided shielding Corrosion elimination that is common in bare, copper-braided shielding

Very good cables July 25, 2008 I looked around and found these cables are half the price of the cheapest brand found in Radio Shack. I hooked up a HD DVR to the component connections of my 72" Toshiba HD TV. The picture is nearly as good as the HDMI connection from the Dish HD satellite receiver connected to this TV. Now I can't say that expensive Monster cables are not better than these but I seriously doubt they are much better than these Belkin cables. I suspect Monster makes money off of people who operate on "the more expensive, the better" theory. I seriously doubt that the average viewer could tell any difference on a smaller screen using these component cables versus an HDMI connection. I'm happy and I've got the extra bucks in MY pocket.
Cables are OK, if you can open the idiotic packaging July 16, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
The display case that these cables come in is a fine piece of work. Once you lop off the top with a chain saw, you still can't get the cables out of the package because the connectors are captured between two more revolting yet shiny sheets of plastic. Then you go to the gas station, fill up your chain saw, come back and hack at it again and nick the cables. Why do we allow manufacturers to use up so many petroleum products guarding their packaging against being opened by those who make the mistake of purchasing them?
I mean, it's not like I bought them at a brick and mortar store or anything.
Oh, and the cables at least look fine. I still haven't gotten them out of their shiny, plastic prison yet. I've got a few days before I need them though.
Best quality, second only to HDMI April 18, 2008 Belkin makes a top quality, dependable cable at affordable prices. Virtually the same performance as Monster Cables, for 1/2 the price. And with Amazon's prices, it's hard to find a reason not to buy Belkin.
Component video cables offer better quality video than the older red, yellow, and white cables and the single S-video cable. HDMI is the only cable better than these Component Video cables.
So if you have HDMI, use it. If not, then use Component Video YPbPr cables. THe next step down in quality is S-Video. And finally the red, yellow, and white cables.
Good Value Component Cables February 27, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
These are good quality, good fit on the connectors and have sturdy cabling. I installed them with no problems and the video picture is great. As you can somewhat see in the picture, the plug grip is flattened on both sides which makes it easier to grip getting it on and off. The grip is also 1 1/2 inch long including the colored band. Longer than any others I have. If clearance behind your unit is tight these might pose a problem. Otherwise, I'd call these a bargain.
Great Upgrade but February 5, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have got this cable from amazon.com last night and connected it between my TV and upscaling DVD player, before I was using composite cable but right now the video picture is wonderful, may be my you can't figure that if you don't have experience about video quality, but at least it's more comfortable for your eyes and give you more picture details such like light effects and shade details that you can't see with composite cable, so this will be a good upgrade if you can't afford to go with the Hi-Def stuff right now.
In the other hand you need to be sure that your DVD prayer is working OK because the picture is really amazing and that makes you feel any noise that caused buy having low quality DVD player and also the picture is still away from the Hi-Def quality, but it's better than nothing until you upgrade to Hi-Def system.
